Courses take advantage of the beautiful varied terrain at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center, from wide straight-a- ways, to gradual ascent and descents, to some aggressive hill climb/descent opportunities. Views and possible wildlife sightings are in- cluded! Classes include 10- and 20-mile Nordic groomed, 10- and 20-mile single track mix, and a 10-mile Nordic untimed tour. Free event, rentals available for various fees and if needed, please arrive at 4:30pm to get outfitted, and bring a headlamp. 12 Flying Moose Classic Half-Marathon. The Bethel Outing Club, Nonstop Nordic, and NENSA. Part of both the Zak Cup and NENSA Marathon Series, this fun and exciting event starts at the Bethel Inn Resort and takes you through the rolling hills and forest lands of the Bethel Inn and Inland Woods and Trail’s Bethel Village Trails, a wonderful scenic adventure. Select from either the 12.5KM or 25KM course, and there is a 1KM kids race (grades K-5) and a 3KM Middle School Race (grades 6-8) that will take them over fun little obstacles and zig-zag pathways. Kids race starts at 9am (mass
start); Middle School starts at 9:30am (mass start); 12.5KM & 25KM races start at 10am (mass start). Awards and cookies to follow at ~12:30pm, with a special after party event
