Above and Below: Once a thriving print shop, the Knowlton-McLeary block is a stunning example of the ornate masonry and paneled brick construction popular in large cities of the Northeast.
Inset Photo: After the Great Fire of 1886, much of the town was rebuilt using masonry to replace the burned wooden structures, creating the beautiful historic Farmington of today.
